I don't know what you consider a fat blunt, but a gram isn't enough for a fat one.

And "schwag" is an American term. I live in America, and we (in Northern VA) have been calling "sess" or "bama" weed schwag since I started smoking back in 1990.

p.s. I just realized that the tone in my posts, if read, sound like "I know more about pot than you" or "I'm a bigger pothead than you." but it isn't meant to come off that way....hell, I rarely smoke these days as it is.

I can only talk for my locality:

£25 for 1/8th
£40-45ish for 1/4
£60 for half ounce
£100-120 for an ounce

I've never bought anything more than an ounce at one time, so anything higher I'm not sure of the price.

Damn, you guys are getting ripped off. I don't smoke, I don't buy, I don't sell, but I know plenty of people who do. Skunk goes for 2 bucks a gram, decent stuff goes for 5, and a friend of mine managed an insane G13 plant that went for 400-100/oz depending on who was buying.

I'm sure someone mentioned this already, but the police include the weight of the trunk and roots. That's why the prices on seizures are high.

While I was in high school and college in Texas, $100 per oz was a reasonable price. I knew someone who sold an oz for $50 to people he hung out with regularly. The quality seemed to have a lot more to do with who the source was than what the price was.

Even serious pot smokers who share occasionally only smoke an ounce a month, from what I've seen. If you have a decent job and earn 2k/month or more, that's really cheap. The problem is that some pot smokers don't work hard or even show up to work each day.

As far as what people in the US call low quality marijuana, I've always heard shwag.

$10/gram seems to be pretty much the standard here. If you go downtown, the kids'll sell you a bag that might be half a gram if you're lucky for that price, I don't know how they stay in business.
The most I've ever paid for an oz. was $210 (Canadian), and it was awfully good. I've gotten really good outdoor for as little $110/oz and can usually find crazy indoor for $170-$180.
I tried growing a large-ish batch with an old roommate once, 15-20 plants, it didn't turn out too well, I think if I tried it again, it would only be with one or two.

Everyone and their brother grows pot around here, so prices are pretty cheap.

I haven't smoked in 2 years and I hardly ever paid for it (I was my dealer's boss at work; a little consideration = nearly free pot)

anyway, when we paid it was about $35-40 for a 1/2 oz. and never more than $85 for the full. This stuff was mostly low to middle of the road pot. You paid more for the "better" stuff.

hmm its about 50 an 8th here but thats for the stuff that will compete with and half the time beat the stuff in amsterdam. hell about 2 years or so ago my dad was getting a strain of the canibus cup winner for 40 an 8th. good times. oh and leaf is free and i dont ever deal with anything that isnt top of the line. its just great when you get someone from out of town here and there ask how much weed is then you tell em 50 an 8th and they kinda squinch (is that a word) but decide to go along with it. then after actually seeing what there getting and smoking a bowl decided that they just smoked the best stuff they have ever seen and that was the best 50 they ever spent. and it wasnt even the best i have seen

Man, gotta love those Gainsville people. I live near orlando, Fl, which is only 2 hours from there. That town has so much pot in it, you get a buzz crossing the city limits, it's crazy.

Recently the prices have been shitty, but usually it's just like above-

a "dime" (tenth of an ounce, enough for a joint, MAYBE 2) is $10, a "quarter" (quarter of an ounce) is $25 (20 if you get a deal), a half-ounce is $50, and an "O" (ounce) is $80 - $100, depending on who you get it from- some people will sell you 50 for half but stick you for 100 for an O, and some guys who are sellin it just to sell it will let you take an O off their hands for only $80, just for buying in quantity.

What I'm describing isn't "shake" (loose, crumbly, dried stuff), it's quite decent- known as "regs".

1/8 ounce of "crip" (the really good stuff) will run you about $40, and a quarter of crip will go for $80-100, depending on how good it is, and exactly how quality the weight is... although with crip you almost always get nothing but actual smokable bud in the whole weight of the thing.

A fwe peple mentioned hydro... it's hard for me to find here... i've had the opportunity a few times but only the cash once... best fuckin money i've ever spent... my mouth waters thinking about it. At the time, I was smoking fairly regularly, but that shit put me on my ASS when I SHARED ONE BOWL of it with my buddy, who sold it to me. Granted it was a pretty good size bowl, but not abnormally big. He was/is a daily smoker, and it knocked him on HIS ass, too. That shit was crazy. I was in such a happy place for a while there. Ah, nostalgia...

Oh, and I love all the people adding that they don't buy or smoke at the end. lol

Oh, and I just thought I'd add, for all the "I don't understand why you do that to yourself" and "drugs are stupid" crowd- not everyone smokes just to feel high.

For me personally, I usually smoke to help my anxiety. I've been plagued with horrible anxiety attacks since I was as young as I can remember. They last for days, sometimes a whole week or two. If you've ever experienced anxiety, you know what it's like... but have you ever had it for 2 weeks, where you go to bed with it and it's there in the morning waiting for you when you wake up? I've been on every anti-anxiety medication available over the course of my life, and the only ones that work (and they BARELY work, I might add) make me feel so totally disconnected from myself and reality i'm barely functional, like a vegetable.

If I smoke and get high, the anxiety goes away, and stays away, even after the high is gone. Can you put your judgements on that? On my happy daily life? Just a point to ponder, I'm not trying to preach.

Just bought an oz of hydro for 250 where I live. Its a decent deal, but my cousin gets it cheaper (sumhow manages to get fat bags, and make money at the same time... without having to touch the stuff in the transaction), and will prolly float my habit while I start crunching for money. Gotta love family.

I should add that most people around me buy by the 1/8th, and pay $40 per 1/8th.

Also, the high off hydro is soooo much better. Its like... You are completly happy, not just stoned. Good stuff. But, when you smoke almost exclusivly hydro... Everything else tastes like hell.

i can get O for like $30-$40 depending on the season it is usually because of all of the drugs that pass through here S. TX that is. reefer is real cheap here should they raise the prices any most people would just try something else with the same price.
