I once spent some time at the Olympic Training Center in CO Springs and got to know one of the heavyweight boxers there relatively well. He was one of the nicest, smartest guys that you'll ever meet. One night we went to a party with a big group, and a couple of univited guests started manhandling one of our friends. I'm not a big guy, but I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and I tend to let my emotions lead me around in situations like this. The whole point of this story is that before I could do more than turn red and get ready to rush the guy, Jim threw 3 punches faster than I've ever seen anyone move. The two guys ended up on their butts begging for their lives and apologizing to the woman. BTW - Jim didn't make the Sydney team, so he's not at Tyson's level.
$10M wouldn't be enough money. What's the point of money if you're just going to have to use it to hire someone to frappee all your vegitables for you for the rest of your life?

Hmmm... Interesting proposition, but me being as light and weak as I am, one punch and Im done... I'd try and kick him in the nuts, but that would mean getting too close to him.... And I dont think I'd be able to dodge him for 1 min in such a small area.
Id do it, but if they gave me more money for it....

OK, Mike Tyson is NOT a god. Yes he can hit hard, Yes he would kick my ass, but I feel .. no I KNOW.. I could stand 1 minute in the ring with him. Not only would I stand, but I would fight back with all I had in me. Granted, I would probably be down and out within a couple of punches, but I would stand and fight until I couldnt fight any more. I have been kicked in the head by a horse, he cant hit much harder than that, and I survived that kick.
Now, put me in a bar against Mikey, and I would kick his ass up one side and down the other. why... cuz I dont fight fair. If imma fight ya, imma kick ya ass, no if ands or buts.. unless you get to the chairs and pool sticks before I do anyway.

Nope, I want to live.
I am 6'1" , 240 pounds and trained in Karate and Kickboxing. Which is why I am even more sure I wouldn't do it. For those who say you would, consider, only a handful of people in the world could actually last even one 3 minute round with Mike Tyson. Only 4 heavyweight boxers have beaten him, over 40 of his opponents were crushed by him, most in less than 3 rounds, even one nicknamed Bonecrusher. But this makes for an amusing thread anyway . . . Here's a link for info on Tyson, be afraid: http://www.sho.com/boxing/boxers.cfm...le&fighter=739

so I can't leave the ring, I can't take a dive, and I have to stay in there for the whole minute?
Sure you didn't mention anything about me not being allowed weaponry

Not a chance in hell. I'm not trained to take hits well and even though he would probably knock me out with one hit who knows what kind of brain damage he could do to me.

Not for $100 K . . . . he's too quick/too big and too freakin messed up in the head . . . . that is unless I had a sword (or a bazooka), and he was tied up tight . . . .

If I don't have to follow those pussy Marquis of Queensbury rules, I'd do it in a heartbeat; I don't care how bad he is, a 260 lb. man kicking the shit out of your knee is gonna take a lot of the fight out of you; I used to ride with some seriously bad dudes; we survived a lot of bar fights; he ain't that bad- a biker flyin' on PCP is a serious opponent; you can't hurt him; Tyson bleeds just like everybody else.

Why the fuck not- he was champ at 20- but he's older now- and I feel I have enough training to minimize the damage - I used to fight a bit- two minute rounds, martial arts tourneys- two minutes can be an eternity- so, I think, can one- and winning is, to put it mildly, unlikely, but 100 grand would be... useful.

Less simply put: Tyson spends a great deal of time in the town I live in and I have had the unfortunate experience to meet him. There is an air of instability that surrounds him, and even when he is not in shape, he is a fucking monster. No way I would step into the ring with him.

Says who!? If I'm going to get knocked out, I might as well do the best I can, so as not to look like a complete girl in front of a huge crowd.

Only if I could fight dirty.....I'd charge him like I was going for his head, duck quick, punch him in the nuts, dive through his legs, turn around and pull his shorts around his ankles, stand up and push him forwards so he trips, jump on his back and kick and punch the living crap out of him.
I'd do that for a cool million.
