I'm currently about 2 hours late for work because I can't get out of my driveway - 12 inches of snow in the last 12 hours, w/ 40 mph winds. Welcome to Wisconsin.

But it's December... That should make it feel just a little bit right shouldn't it? But it is warm here - around 0 degrees (32 F) balmy to your 15. No wind anymore, just a bunch of wet snowy rainy slush. the kind of weather that gives you soakers when y ou walk outside.

Happily, the worst of this arctic blast is supposed to slowly go the way of the dodo over the course of the next few days, and we never got any precipitation, so it's all good. Watching the news this morning, it looks like just about everyone in the US is getting slammed with the same arctic blast that started here last weekend. Hang in there, guys! Edit: It's currently 13 degrees. Brrrr! |

Wore two layers of pants, 3 layers of shirts and jacket...still cold. The fountain at school is frozen solid.
The weather report says tomorrow will be warmer...at 36 degrees. But there's a snow storm going on in the East so I'll take this.

That's what it is here this morning, and was yesterday morning too...
I don't mind cold, clear days, but this is a little much. Especially with no snow. It makes me sad. The pipes under my kitchen sink seem to be frozen. Let's hope my wall doesn't asplode this weekend during the Big Thaw.

Its been a little on the cold side here recently. This evening is an icy 28F but otherwise clear at least the wind finally died down. I had hoped winters in Tennessee would have been a little bit milder...after 30 years in Northern Maine I was expecting it to be a bit warmer. Oh well at least I'm not neck deep in snow right now!

We had a little snow the other day that turned to ice. I had to leave the house yesterday and brave the elements. Wrecks all over the place. I slid a few times even after making sure I stayed on the main roads / highways. Back roads = danger. But as of now, we're left with ice patches and cold.

Weather Report:
My god its been hotter then stink here all summer, hoping for a nice cool off but I think the humidity and heat are going to stick around for a couple more months. Tomorrows...er today's report...oh look a special weather statement... "A STRONG BERMUDA HIGH WILL MAINTAIN ITS GRIP ON MIDDLE TENNESSEE AT LEAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND EARLY PART OF NEXT WEEK. AS A RESULT, HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN MAINLY IN THE MID TO UPPER 90'S THE NEXT 7 DAYS ACROSS MOST OF THE MID STATE, EXCEPT LOCATIONS ACROSS THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. HEAT INDICES OFF THE PLATEAU WILL RANGE FROM 99 TO 104 DEGREES EVERY DAY THROUGH SUNDAY. SIGHTLY DRIER AIR WILL INFILTRATE THE MID STATE BY MONDAY, WHICH WILL RELIEVE SOME OF THE HUMIDITY AND REDUCE HEAT INDICES SOMEWHAT." The drier air sounds kinda nice but whats the point of of a special statement? Its been that hot here since late May. Well it doesn't sound too bad tomorrow, High of 93F 40% chance of precip (isolated T-storms later in the day...YAY!) 65% humidity Right now at 1:42 in the am its 75F, I think I'll go take advantage of that before I hit the hay.
