Group birthday party social outing tomorrow evening, including dinner at an Indian restaurant and a romp through a corn maze with other fall-type activities (I love October).
Sunday my other half is hosting book club at our house, so some tidying will be in order to prep for that. I'll probably go bounce around outside a bit to get out of her hair once the club arrives. I'm looking forward to it. The weather's supposed to be incredible.

I can't believe everyone's plans are so mundane on Thanksgiving weekend.
I will, of course, be going to see the family on Sunday. Saturday, I don't know what I'm doing. It's not likely to be terribly exciting. Monday will be spent in blissful recuperation after gorging myself on free food.

Tonight I'm going to relax. We'll probably see if any of our friends are around. I plan on going to market tomorrow morning along with a stop at the library to return some books, coming home and doing chores (including a major project to clean and organize my bedroom), then Oregon State is playing Washington State at 3:37. I fully expect the Beavers to slaughter the Cougs, who have completely sucked this season, so then I'll be able to rub it in my dad's best friend's face the next time I see him. We'll probably have some friends who don't have TV over to watch the game (we've become the neighborhood TV set for important things, kind of fun). After the game is over, I'm going to make some beer-potato-cheese soup. Yes, it is delicious, especially if you use a dark beer, like Deschutes Jubelale (my favorite winter ale). Sunday I probably have work from 8:30-11:30. Following that, I have a soccer game until the mid-afternoon. Then I have to go to one of my jobs and clean an office. Sunday night, of course, I drink red wine and watch cartoons. No weekend is complete without Animation Domination.

Martian: the rest of us aren't in Canada. US Thanksgiving is at the end of November.
My mom is visiting this weekend! So tonight we will be taking care of the horses and taking her some food and cake in late celebration of my birthday. We may take her to DC or a local winery tomorrow, and she'll be heading out at some point on Sunday. I'll be up early on Sunday to braid the mane of one of the horses for a show, and we might go to the show for a bit until my mother decides to head out. Since Monday is Columbus Day (day off work, hell yes!), I believe Crompsin and I will catch up on some sleep and play with our kitten. I also need to take pictures of my horse-for-sale and body clip my old man horse - he's really furry already, and it's making him sweat during the day because hey guess what? The weather's warmer in VA than in Ohio!

Whoa, people actually thought I was serious?
I'm well aware the yanks do it in November. It's not my fault you got the day wrong.

Saturday, heading to one end of NJ to deliver posters people ordered from me, then heading to another end of NJ to attend and photograph an art opening, then take the kids for a promised shopping spree after which I will collapse of the sofa and watch the race.
Sunday, should I awake from the coma, I will be heading out on an all-day bike run with my fellow PGRers, cruising some backroads to take in the early fall flora and fauna. |

We're just staying in relaxing tonight. Tomorrow we're getting out early for a ride on the bike to check out fall foliage, and ending up at The Old Stone Fort History Fair. Sunday is still a blank slate. Maybe another ride if the weather is good, maybe we'll just stay in . Three day weekend for us with Monday being Columbus Day. Monday we'll be pumpkin picking and carving jack-o-lanterns with my daughter.

Saturday I have a work out class at the gym followed by test driving new cars. My car died on the way to work earlier in the week and I have to find a new one. Then I will be putting in four hours of overtime and hosting a mimosa party later in the evening. Sunday will involve more overtime.
