Uhh guys, I think they actually do have to come from either Greek or Roman mythology and as disgusting as it sounds (since everyone mispronounces it), even Uranus, comes from greek mythology. He was their god of the sky. Anyway if it wasn't already taken by an asteroid I would go with Proserpina, which was Pluto's wife. Since Brown did want a feminine name, and was looking for something bigger than Pluto.

Juno
or Ceres I think would be good (to continue the roman god theme).

I'm with you on Diana. We need another woman planet =)
as a side note: I'm so glad that Charon is now a real planet!! I chose to do a report on Charon in the fifth grade and I didn't get much credit for it because my teacher didn't believe that it really existed...

Peresphone is a relatively common name for the planet beyond Pluto in the sci fi world. In Greek mythology, Persephone is the wife of Pluto.
