An Amazing Scene in Burma

What‘s so special about this?

This is a picture of a rock formation near a lake in Burma. The photo can only be taken on a specific day once a year when the sun rays touch the rocks at a certain angle.

Tilt your head to the left and then look at it again

Did you notice anything different? yes or no?

Now we will turn the whole scene vertical

Wow, is that real?

EDIT: Sorry, I had to...

This amazing image accompanies an email forward written in Portuguese. The message claims that the image depicts a rock formation on a lakeside in Burma. According to the message, the image depicts a mother and son and can be best viewed by tilting one's head to the left.

Ayub, a Hoax-Slayer visitor, has been kind enough to translate the above message into English as follows:

This is a rock formation on the shores of a lake in Burma. It's only possible to view this image on a certain time of the year, due to the reflection of the angle of the sun. To view it better, tilt your head to your left as if you want to look at the image from a 90 Deg angle turned to the right and look at the reflection in the water joined together with the rock formation. Now, seriously isn't it pretty? Amazing nature.....

It would seem highly likely that the picture is a work of art rather than a photograph of a real rock formation. However, at this point, I have not been able to track down the origins of the image.

Ummm, it's a painting. Here's a response from a guy to this picture on another forum.

-----------------------------

Take a look at this picture.

This is a picture of two Saudi Arabian women playing cards in a street in Riyadh. These women only gather one day a year at precisely 2:00 in the afternoon to play exactly one hand of Crazy Eights.

Notice anything strange about the women sitting in the street?

Now trying sitting three inches farther away from your monitor and looking at the exact same picture again.

See anything different?

THE WOMEN ARE DOGS -- AND THEY'RE PLAYING POKER!

Still trying to find the origin of these photographs, but you have to admit it's pretty creepy.

you know how I can tell its not real?

by this bit:

"The photo can only be taken on a specific day once a year when the sun rays touch the rocks at a certain angle."

and/or

"It's only possible to view this image on a certain time of the year, due to the reflection of the angle of the sun."

when you read stuff like that about stuff like this, 99.9999999% of the time, it's bullshit.

still a pretty cool pic tho

If you look carefully at the cliff's reflection, you will notice distinct differences from the "real" cliff, as is often the case in paintings. This isn't distortion or refraction, it is artistic variation.

Besides, it doesn't even look like a photograph.
