so you replaced your old CD-ROM with a new one, and the old CD-ROM was set to cable select, and this one is set to Master?
I'd just do something along the lines of "HDD Auto Detect" (or something similar in BIOS). It should bring up the new CD-ROM. Make sure if your new CD-ROM is set to Master that you have it on the end of the IDE cable, not in the middle.
