i think there was another thread about this.... microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided to "fix" the way logins and passwords work on a site.
if the format is: "http://login : pass @ website.com" (without spaces), then you'll probably get that error.
do a quick search on this forum. i think the question's been asked and answered...
