latly when i open a new browsers from a link it come up"The page cannot be displayed" any idea on how to fix that?

are you checking the same webpages over and over or is it doing it on EVERY webpage you check?

and what service are you using

Assuming you know your online...

Have you installed any software lately?

Does anything else internet based work (liveupdate)

sorry i have been out. yes i'm online, no i have installed any software. i'm using microsoft IE. some of the time when it happens i'm at password sites. any help?

i think there was another thread about this.... microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided to "fix" the way logins and passwords work on a site.

if the format is: "http://login : pass @ website.com" (without spaces), then you'll probably get that error.

do a quick search on this forum. i think the question's been asked and answered...
