I have used "Power DVD" extensively on my PC and Laptop. It works pretty good and has a free trial available here:

Try that and if you like it ....um, I guess you should buy it or something.
In so much as ripping the audio off of the DVD, I think you might be able to do that with ReelDVD. Linky:
