Not at all a Yanks hater... Money isn't everything, look at the Florida Marlins handing everyone their asses last season. $48 million opposed to about $164 mil. Josh Beckett gave Steinbrenner the nice FU in game 7, go figure. I'm not sure why he picked up A-Rod (sure is a nice slap in the face to John Henry and the Red Sox, though) when what they really need to beef up is their pitching staff. . I agree with whomover (I forget) said it on ESPN, what's A-Rod going to do? They'll win 9-0 instead of 8-0 on a good day and if the Yanks don't win the series...
