I doubt anyone will pick up, since it's simply a pain to renew the rights for all of those movies.
I didn't have Cable as a child, but I had a History Teacher who would tape them for me let me borrow 'em. I loved the Joel years, and was kind of put off by Mike when he first took over but eventually grew to love him... *sigh*
