I love fondue. We actually have a Melting Pot across the street that my wife used to work at. Expensive but really good. There's also a good fondue restaurant in Atlanta, with a pirate theme I think, can't remember the name.
Here's my favorite fondue. Don't worry about exact ingredients, I don't.
1. Add some decent beer to fondue pot.
2. Shred some cheddar cheese and coat lightly with corn starch, or flour.
3. Add the cheese to pot one handful at a time, and melt completely before adding the next handful.
4. Add 2 to 3 cloves of finely chopped garlic.
5. Add Worsteshire Sauce to taste. (Sounds a little wierd, but trust me!)
6. Finish with fresh ground black pepper.
7. Dipping ideas: cubed bread, sliced veggies and fruits.
If you don't have a fondue pot, a double boiler works nicely, or you could also use a crock pot.
