Its rather easy.
As a conservative I'm pissed as Bush for spending money like a democrat without even token attempts at cuts. (Sure the senate dems would block anything meaningful but I'd rather have them be the problem)
On the other hand there isn't a single democrat running I would vote for. Lieberman was pretty darn close, but moderate democrats who don't just spout anti-bush and class warfare slogans don't have a prayer in today’s democratic party
I would rather see someone who was more conservative then Bush in the White House (yes this may shock you but Bush isn't very conservative outside of religious issues), but by not voting for Bush I would get someone far far worse.
Right now Bush is taking people like me for granted and hoping to get more of the middle. I could 'take a stand' and give him the finger for it, but in the end I would only be screwing myself.
