The problem with Queer eye is not that it involves gays, but that in involves gays who seem to be picked for the degree to which they fit various stereotypes of what the population at large envisions when asked to think of a gay man. I mean, one can take anything to an annoying extreme, and that loudmouth simpering blonde fool has managed to distill everything that annoys out of homosexuality and is presenting it for public view. It's like he's the photonegative Andrew Dice Clay (who, at his worst could use a real smacking around too.)
It is true that there is a market for this, just as there is a market for Spike TV or SpeedTV or the Bass Fishing Network. I just wish they wouldn't run Queer Eye right after the West Wing so I wouldn't inadvertantly watch bits of it now and again.
