And the next rant should be about Showtime because of Queer as Folk and The L-Word, right?

I remember my grandmother compaining that NBC was the "Nigger Broadcasting Channel" because of Sanford and Son, and that was in an era where there only 4 or 5 channels in most markets and cable was mostly a "community antenna" for small but significant cities outside of a major metro area. Check back in 25 years from now and let's see what your opinion is.

In the 500-channel universe, a population as small as 1% can be enough of a market for a TV channel to pursue. Besides, you still have 499 channels to choose from. (I know, 500 channels and nothing is on.) And as a woman, I would like to stand up and say that Lifetime and the "disease of the moment" movies they specialize in all suck ass.
