Kasay's kick wasn't near as bad as all those defensive penalties by Carolina. How many times was Kris Jenkins offside? 3 How about 2 defensive holding penalties continuing Patroit's TD drives? How about 4 kick/punt return penalties that cost Carolina needed field position?

If Carolina kicks the extra point instead of the 1st 2-point conversion attempt, the score is NE 21-Car 17. Carolina scores the next TD, and no decision is necessary, it would be an extra point instead a 2-point try. Car 24 - NE 21. New England's TD would be follow by an extra point try because there would be no incentive to try a 2-pointer. NE 28-Car 24.
