I always felt that this is kinda like the 70's, where there was a glut of 'black' shows (The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son, Good Times, etc), catering to an audience that didn't have that much representation on TeeVee. Unfortunately, or fortunately, your mileage may vary, this tends to drive that TV segment into the dirt.
