I really wanted to give a Christmas gift to my ex-girlfriend after we broke up, but as it became more obvious that we weren't going to be friends I gave up on that. Don't give her the sweater if it seems like she isn't that interested in being friends or taking anything from you. Sometimes it is awkward for the gift-receiver because they feel guilty. Take into account her feelings within reason.
