Superficial doesn't HAVE to mean physical appearance. Spend some time in acedemia(fuck I can't spell).
Anyway, you'll find people with such a hardon for pure knowledge that they often forget that there's other parts of their lives. Sometimes I just don't understand how people can have so much trouble balancing. I guess it's just because I've always been moderate to a fault.
In conclusion...
Paris Hilton = physically superficial (gold digger)
Many professors = mentally superfial (Sorry. I couldn't think of any examples that most people would know)
