I bought a pair of jeans from the Gap. About 3.5 weeks later, as I was getting into my dad's truck, the crotch split open. There is a rip about 3 inches long in the middle of the fabric, not on the seam. My point of view is that there must have been a flaw in the fabric to allow a sudden tear like that to develop when I hadn't been wearing them for that long. There is hardly any wear on the seams and cuffs. I mean, jeans are supposed to last a while, right? My question is this: If I took them back to the store (with no receipt) do you think I'd get an exchange or at least partial credit? They were $50 after all, so I am pretty disappointed.
