				Moving across the United States

I moved to Phoenix from Michigan in September after graduating from Michigan State University. Since then my family has parted ways, with a sister in Washington, my mom in California, and my dad just took a new job in New Hampshire. I've decided to move back to Grand Rapids, MI, where I can share rent with a good friend, and have a better chance at a job.
 I'm driving.

Has anyone driven this route. I need suggestions on the which way would be the most interesting. Time is somewhat of a factor, but I have enough to be somewhat flexible. The routes I'm considering so far are to head to Denver and then take I-80, or to go to Oklahoma City, and then up to Des Moines, IA and take I-80 the rest of the way. The only other factor is that I would really like to hit Eastern Iowa, so I can visit my home town of Cedar Rapids.

If anyone has any tips for stuff I should do, routes, stuff I should bring, any and all advice appreciated.

 Thank you,

 Skettios
