two different irc networks, and about 3 channels on each.
all private, and people i know pretty damn well.
one on a complete first name basis.
i dont do public channels for one very specific reason:

Also i dont quite agree with ya there Halx on the way you are looking at what he/she is asking.
Online chat isnt nearly the same as a forum. At least the way i interpreted his question was more *live* based chat.
