Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows the "normal", and maximum temperature for a Geforce FX 5600 videocard? My Asus 9560's GPU runs at 58 degrees celsius (134 F), while the memory runs at 41C (105F). Both are measured using the Asus Smartdoctor utility.
The reason I'm asking this: the fan makes loads of noise, and Smartdoctor can reduce this by reducing the fan RPM. BUT, out-of-the-box, it's set to maximize RPM when the GPU temperature is over 50C! Now, if the GPU can safely go up to, say, 65C, there's no stopping me from lowering the fan RPM. If 58C is already near the maximum, I can't...
er... anyone?
