9-ball was always the game I made money in. 8-ball is just fun. I litterally paid my drinking/fun money for a few years when I was playing religiously. I stopped playing when I got my favorite cue stolen from under my nose at some bar. I play maybe a few games a week and still am better then the majority, but have definately lost a lot of my old skills. Pool is not like riding a bike... you take time off and it will definately show.
