2 things. Ya'll should read the abcnews.com story about the apache story, it'll clear things up for you. These guys were transferring weapons on the side of the road, so don't think for even 1 second that they were civilians. The fellow that is gunned down next to the tractor is retrieving a weapon he had *just* stashed there moments ago and had every intention of using it against his unseen assailant. The story calls it a tube-like weapon and that says one thing to me -- SAM.
With respect to the second video, we had another thread about it that came to 3 conclusions that stated several things. First, the wounded Iraqi was reaching for his weapon and therefore was still classified as a combatant. Second, you can't see *who* shot him, there were Iraqi's present. Third, the soldier's rifle has its safety on when we look at him immediately after the gunfire. There's no telling what the original reel of tape looked and sounded like -- this sucker is *edited*. Don't automatically trust what the video shows you.

Wow, that s either the truth, or some really well thought out excuse. I trust this video more that what the US gov. has to say.
Remember the time when a US plane killed everyone in a Afgan wedding cerimony? I suppose all you CNN watchers never heard of this. I am just wondering what explantion the pantagon gave about that. "Eh, we discovered a band of gorrala forces performing an unknow ritual, possibly related to the construction of weapons of massive destruction. So we toke neccessary precautions."
