I dont have exact statistics, but the vast majority of the people in the US have oral herpes. It's a canker sore. Something like 3/4 of the people have them, many that have them are only carriers, where the virus lays dormant permanently.
I have it, but only get one occasionally when I'm very highly stressed. Nothing to worry about, as long as you dont get genital herpes in your mouth, that is the giant nasty thing you occasionally see on people's lips. They are completely different viruses, genital herpes is much rarer.
If you dont have regular herpes chances are you'll get it. But feel well that it's no big deal and you wont look like a freak unless you get hepititus C.
