You should be in the $.30 a pound for olympic plates and around $.45 a pund for hex dumbells and $.60 a pound for plate dumnbells. You shoud shop around on-line and go to a local fitness store with that informatiuon. I have about $3,000 invested in my home gym that includes a few machines and a ton of weight. I usually get around 150 workouts a year in and my equipment is about 7 years old so it pays for itself over time.
