Check out CSI and Law and Order. Those two shows are pretty good and I try to catch them whenever I find some time.
In CSI, it is kinda neat how they show you flashbacks on the case as it is being solved. The cases aren't that bad either. Recommended show.
As for Law and Order, the cases seem to be more realistic. A lot more tension and emotion in each show. There's also usually a nice twist near the end which you don't see coming. Another cool show that is worth watching.
