And you know what else?!!!! the media thing IS getting old........except when it involves a team from Southern...fuckin' LA......California!!!!! You can't even imagine the amount of money that would be made in NCAA licensing fees on "The Number One Team in the Country......USC!!" The NCAA is a business that deals very closely with all media outlets. To think that there is NO influence in what they would like the media to announce is not only naive, but also un-American. College football is a business that makes a ton of money. I don't have a problem with them making all the money that they can possibly make, but the BCS attempts to moderate all of the teams regardless of locale or demography, ie highly populated areas.
The BCS doesn't care if the team is SoCal or NoCal or Bowling Green.......it takes several complex variables and plugs them in a mathematical formula and spits out the result.
ONCE AGAIN, THE BCS DID EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO DO. THE POLLS ARE MEANINGLESS. LSU IS THE NATIONAL CHAMPION.
PS. I never said that USC isn't a great team, as a matter of fact, I would love to see an LSU/USC matchup. I wouldn't bet on either!
