Why does compiling it locally help at all?
Assembly is assembly, no matter where it is compiled. If two machines compile the same piece of code in the same compiler with the same settings then the code will be near identical.
Unless you actually understand the operation of each package on the code level and tweak the compiler for that application, your really not accomplishing much.
