If you ctrl+f5, it gives you a hard refresh.
Also, alt+f4 closes a window/program.
alt+tab switches between currently running programs.
ctrl+shift+esc is like ctrl+alt+del, but it skips the first window and takes you straight to the running processes. Useful when the machine is so hosed that it takes forever to get through the ctrl+alt+del window.
