I suppose it depends on what you use it for. I have a wintv radio that I use in my Mythtv (
www.mythtv.org) box as a PVR, and going to the TV screen, there isnt much difference between it and the normal cable--and this is on a 42" HDTV. On a computer monitor, I can absolutely see the quality loss, but because a TV is such a lower resolution, there is next to no quality loss, and most of that is due to my processor not being able to encode at anything higher.
