I watched him perform on a couple of shows, and I thought he was very weak. He hobbled out onto stage, the backing track blaring out all the words, and he occasionally shouted (in a very different voice) over them, but usually he just let the music play. He threw stuff into the crowd, and had 5 guys behind him who also yelled over the backing track.
On top of that, they wanted the music to drop out occasionally to pronounce the end of phrases, but when the backing track dropped out, you could clearly hear that he was off, didn't sound right, and was a little out of breath.
