I'm hooked on Angband myself. I play a varient called AngbandTk that uses 32x32 graphics tiles and has more of a windows interface. Unfortunately Tk isn't supported anymore, so I'm stuck on the 2.7.3 version.

I saw this varient the other day, you should check it out, it's a isometric view version of Angband. whether or not I could ever get used to playing this way is a mystery, but the effort done by the programmer is to be commended.
