I tested the system with the old subwoofer. Didn't work either. I was messing around with the settings until I came across the option of resetting all the setting to factory default. So, I resetted everything back to the original settings. Guess what? The subwoofer works. So, I looked around in the setup in the menu to see what was different and was testing some of the settings back and forth. I realized that I set the centre and the front speakers as "Large" as opposed to "Small" So, when I switched from small to large, the subwoofer just stop and when I switched back, it was working again.
I realized that the subwoofer was only "used" to compersate (sp?) for the lack of power the centre and the front speakers. So, if you have a large speaker, just make sure they're set to small if you want to maximize the use of the subwoofer.
Of course, Dad wasn't happy when the subwoofer started working. GET READY FOR THE 2AM WAKEUP CALL POP!
