If you know what you're doing you can get away with a good squad rack and a bench...you can do every base muscle workout with those.
Actually, my advice wouldn't be as much weight lifting as it would be doing some cardio type workouts. If you have that gut or you're a big guy or what not thats what will get rid of it, not weight lifting. Jump rope or jog for a while, and if you want those big arms do some bench with light weight and high reps. Practice holding at the top and slowly bringing the bar back down everytime you do it. before you know it you'll be all puffy and nice lookin
