Actually, if you think about it, it would have to impact the fat content.
If you cook a burger in a pan, it just sits in its own fat. On the Foreman or panini grills, the fat drains off. That's how the fat content is reduced. All you have to do is cook the same thing in a pan and on the Foreman and measure the fat left over. That's the measurable difference.
I would be interested in knowing whom the "they" is that conducted the fat tests.
