In a different thread I was joking that Windows users would have to wait until Longhorn to get a pop-up blocker for IE (yes, that was one of the new features the press was saying about Longhorn). It seems that MS has gotten around to putting one in IE for XP's Service Pack 2.
Too little too late I guess but they are adding a number of other security related features and a more robust (?) firewall. Maybe it'll help. Of course, some of these new security features will be OFF by default. I wonder what percentage of people will know they exist and turn them on.
