it really depends on what you mean by "rave scene" if it's just a bunch of poser candy kids that want to watch the pretty lights and say I love everyone 8 million times.. I'll pass. I like the underground scene the best because usually it's just the quality heads. A true rave in my opinion is the one that isn't advertised. It's the one that's found out by word of mouth only. You should check out the movie Human Traffic and check out Groove. Human Traffic is based in England and is funny as hell. Groove is sorta the American view on the rave scene.
If there is good music whether it be trance, breaks, DnB, techno, house I'll usually check it out. I always go if it's a big DJ because I like to trainspot (watch the dj) Since I spin it's always good to watch other dj's cause you never know what you can pick up or learn. I think the most amazing DJ to watch is Irene..she works the tables like no other and she always pumps up the crowd.
