take a monk,he has loads of starting food[apples help you tame ponys/horses,fortune cookies/tripe rations tame cats/dogs]
u'd better stick to barb/cave/valk
they are tough so hard to kill
barb/cave can eat everything(orcs can cannabalise without negative effects also)
if its real bad...eat what you kill,newts/lichens
eating kobolds/ooze/cockatrices are a bad idea
