there's some people that are completists and need to work the whole kit and kaboodle. IMHO I'm fortunate enough to work in the industry so I get DVDs all the time gratis.
But when I do buy, I do buy as wisely as I can because I have over 350 DVDs and I don't like to buy something that isn't worthwhile or knowing that another version is going to be coming out example the people who bought the Back to the Future set early got one that had some bad transfers, they fixed them but not in time for last year's holiday buying public.
It's almost the same thing that they did for the VHS tapes, but this time their manufacturing costs are much much much less.
