Ironchef82... Up until recently I thought that there would be little chance of Atlanta maintaining the level of play they've had through the first third of the season. Now I'm starting to think that maybe they have a shot. They've cooled off a little but Nurminen is still playing great in goal, Kovalchuk and McEachern are solid and Heatly should be back (barring any legal obsticals) by the end of February. Biggest question is their defense. If Atlanta can play even .500 hockey until then they have a legitamite shot in the Southeast.
Tampa Bay has been too inconsistant. Stillman has carried the offense in the early going but he's a fluke and it's starting to show and their goaltending is a mess. They'll keep things interesting for Atlanta but I have to give the edge to the Thrashers.
