Waterworld and
The Postman are mentioned. Both were productions that cost a couple hundred million dollars to make, and each only made what an average movie would make, maybe a little more, so they were essentially huge wastes of time and money.
Costner is a great actor in the right role; see Crash Davis in Bull Durham. However, from what I've heard he has been in some roles that don't quite fit him.
