I had a cat that peed out of the box. Tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked. Vet told us that once the cat gets in the habit, it's virtually impossible to break them of it. Ended up giving the cat to a no-kill shelter. Sucked, but couldn't stand the smell of the cat pee another day.
