I had a friend who was a devout Catholic and a member of the church of Satan. He claimed it was nothing to do with Satanism, but just about secular morality. The people who came up with the black magic stuff were probably some alarmist, tattling, bullshit merchants with nothing better to do than make up idle gossip and turn it into malicious rumours. Jealousy of his charm, I expect. Don't let it worry you.
