If you can put yourself in someone else's position and imagine how they must feel in a particular situation - not how YOU'D feel in their place, but how they must feel given their personality and their experiences - you can be empathetic.

yeah id feel bad if i hurt someone physically, but i dont really feel bad when someone is in pain..i guess im disensitized to it, i see this shit on tv and whatever all the time and i simply stopped caring i guess?
