"You can bid 'words' that relate to your products from search engines ( ie google). if I sold VW beetle parts. I would try to be the highes bidder for those words plus possible 'VW parts' and then when some one put them into a search engine my site would appear near the top of the search."
so, that accounts for the "sponsored" results some engines display at the top, before you get to the real search results?
in any case, I detest the whole idea of some web owner being able to influence a search engines results with money.
