I could easily see a deal where Texas sends A-Rod and Michael Young to Boston for Nomar, Pedro, and a quality pitching prospect.
Texas replaces their SS with another great one, gets a great starting pitcher for at least a year, a prospect, and loses A-Rod's contract.
Boston gets a better SS and a really good young 2b, and doesn't have to worry about Pedro anymore.
It's very unlikely, true, but it would work for both teams, especially if Boston could deal Manny for something.
