I've met a lot of sports figures, but most were at functions where you would normally find them, conventions and such. Got my picture taken with Dan Marino when I was like 11 years old(1984).
As far a random occurences, not too much:
I ran into the actor Josh Charles(Sports Night, Things to Do in Devner When You're Dead, Threesome) at a Ranger's game(hockey, not baseball).
Met Dee Snider from Twisted Sister at a Toys R Us.
